Japanese food is also very good. The style of eating is known as Izakaya; this type of Japanese restaurant differs greatly from the typical Western "starter, main, dessert" format. The best way to experience Japanese food is to order a number of dishes to be shared among your group, as the main feature of Izakayas is the communal dining style. By sharing dishes with your party everyone can enjoy a wide range of dishes and it makes for a relaxed, sociable evening. If you think that Japanese food is all about eating raw fish you will get a pleasant surprise (though you will find sushi) as they offer a wide variety on their menu from delicious starters like mushrooms in a light tempura batter with a chili-mayonnaise or chicken kara-age, juicy marinated chicken, crispy fried with a spring onion sauce, to mains featuring steak, chicken, fish and vegetarian dishes. In an Izakaya a typical meal is about 1000-2000 Yen (£5-10). There are also very cheap restaurants where is possible to taste very good soup with soba (Japanese noodle style) or rame (Chinese noodle style) for only 300-600 Yen (£1.5-3).

Oh, I'm very interested in what you listed here. I already knew that Japan food is famous for the tradditional Sushi, yet, I still supprised at other delicious foods you just discribed...
Japanese foods is delicous, I agree with you, but not rather cheap. I find no where has cheap and delicious foods than Vietnam. Walking along the streets in Ha Noi, you can enjoy really cheap but well-tasted foods. You will be surprised that it cost you a little. Also, some foods of high trade mark, you can enjoy at some popular restaurants like Pho24,Pho Vuong, Bun Thang... they are not expensive, you know, because VN has very low cost expenditure.
