about South America!
The Incan Empire expanded across Peru and Bolivia. There are 3 major Incan ruins scattered around the city of Cusco, Machu picchu, Pisac, ollantaytambo and the lesser known and harder to get to, huchuy qosco. Nestled in the hills 4 hours east of Cusco, on the old road to Calca, huchuy qosco is a spectacular site to visit. The site was an Incan village and astronomical observation post, although the ruins a not as intact as sites like Machu Pichhu, it is an important religious site for the Quechua people.
We left early in the morning for the 1 hour drive to the site. The scenery was spectacular as we crossed over lush mountains and rivers, you pass through villages and can see the day to day life of the people who live there. The Site itself is rambling and you have to use your imagination, but with the help of a local tour operator,(we used All Trek) http://www.alltrekcusco.com it is easy to get a picture of the life and culture of the Incans. The Astronomical Observation Post is fabulous, as your mind wonders as to just how the Incans could measure the stars and planets. With a delicious lunch and plenty of time to stop on the way (quick return stop at a local bar to try the local drink Chica was also welcomed!) to take in the scenery, the trip with Cusco Cultura was a perfect way to see this part of Calca. For an insight into Incan culture and daily life in Peru you cant go past a day trip to Huchuy qosco. Edited by terrysh1 - 20Dec2008 at 5:10pm |

South america has lots of interesting destinations. because of the Inca Empire you can find similar costumes and traditions, in countries around peru, like bolivia.
You can visit the Titicaca(Puno-Peru/desaguadero-bolivia) the largest lake in the world and the uro's islands located on the titicaca. You can also visit Cusco-Peru; machu picchu pisac, the sacred valley, ollantaytambo, etc. You may need a peru tour agency for this. Then we have Arequipa a colonial city with lots of history and the majestic Misti the active volcano which they call the gentlemen and their houses made of sillar (volcano lava stone), an amazing experience. If you decide to go to the north you'll find Piura, Mancora with beautiful beaches and near there you can visit the señor de sipan, ancient king that was buried with lots of gold and his wifes. And of course the jungle were you will see pink dolphins and lots of nature! |

Manaus was my best trip in South America Brazil, different from what I had in my previous trip in other places. I had inquired a lot of agencies on the internet to look for the best and just found the perfect one for me that assist me all the way. The agency is exactly the Amazing Tours Agency. I would recommend it for you, safety is assured and worthy experienced since I had tried it myself availing their service.

Justin boots and music–part two Favorite Justin boots: Style #3171 – Black Full Quill Ostrich Roper–George Strait has dominated the country music scene with 25 Platinum albums and 37 number one singles. He has broken one box office record after another and has produced and headlined one of the biggest and highest grossing live music festivals. George started thinking about music during his three year stint in the army. He bought a cheap guitar and some Hank Williams songbooks and went about teaching himself some songs. He got a band and started to play, eventually entertaining the troops. He later found his band, Ace in the Hole, by posting a notice on a campus bulletin board saying “COUNTRY SINGER NEEDS BAND.” Favorite Style #3186 – Cognac Full Quill Ostrich Roper. Justin brands is proud to have the George Strait collection of Justin boots that grows every year. A truly remarkable fellow, most people don’t know that George’s share of the profits from his boot collection goes to charity. This brand is versatile too, from rodeo arenas to the pages of fashion magazines, our boots have the ability to fit virtually any lifestyle. They have recently been featured in fashion spreads , CosmoGIRL and YM Magazine. For Fine western boots, ropers and cowboy styles, known around the world, buy with confidence from Justin Boots. Justin boots, just the right song, just the in music in everyone’s heart. |
