Guides show people around a place or an institution and offer information and explanation about monument, historical places, ect. Remember they know the place much better then you. You can get a much better experience if you search the help of a guide instead of trying to visit a place in your own. You will never be able to discover a touristic place without the help of a guide. Guides usually have very good equipments to bring you in the most beautiful places, they know where the best is.
